"We told you that our interest was to spend more time in nature and less in the cities.  You did that perfectly.   We saw Phantom  the evening we arrived.    Perfect seats.    You planned each day for us and except for driving on the left,  each day was spectacular.   You were like our Mom, checking each night to make sure we arrived at our B & B.   As I told you,  we were held up at gunpoint in Christchurch.   That’s how we remember the date we were there.    Halloween.   The cowboys were young kids in full costume.   It was great.   One real highlight was our overnight in Doubtful Sound.   A sacred experience that evening when the motors and generators were all shut down.   It gave new meaning to the saying  “The silence was deafening”.  Interesting people aboard the Fiordland Navigator.    Many people from France.   On that November night on that Ship,   President Obama was elected.   The French people thought that was a real plus for the U.S.    Now they won’t talk to us.  Politics.   That’s why we prefer nature to cities.
 
I know that I thanked you at the end of our trip but I wanted to tell you that after many, many trips that the trip planned by Wendy Dobson was by far the absolute best.  You were perfect.   You shared your knowledge and love of NZ and we will always appreciate it.
